This dated condo turned luxury retreat will make you rethink what is possible for your renovation & addition.

This collaboration with Margaret Smith Design Studios brought in natural stones, vibrant wood finishes, and luxury furnishings.

Exterior: We created a small addition to create a true Primary Bedroom, but that is not where our exterior work stopped. We created a large covered terrace with a balcony, a grill area, and all-new landscaping including a gorgeous custom oolite stone wall. We also moved the front door to be more centered and added a metal canopy with white oak tongue and groove underneath for shelter and attention.

Kitchen & Dining: The kitchen was outdated, and the staircase was closed off to the dining area. We pushed the kitchen to the far interior wall to make it larger, relocating the laundry upstairs, and opened up the staircase by creating a wood slat wall to bring height and openness to the space. The kitchen features wood veneer cabinets, Taj Mahal quartzite and luxury appliances.

Living Room: The original living room was an un-permitted addition, with 3 awkward levels stepping down 2 ft. This disjointed it from the main kitchen space, and made it small and difficult to use. We created a large built in on the wall for storage and focus, and cove lighting to bring the ceiling as high as possible bringing visual interest. The furnishings help to accent this space, along with the wallpaper which brings depth.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms: This project added a full bathroom and a primary suite replacing an open terrace. The master features a cove light and higher ceilings. Both bathrooms feature tile on all walls, niche features, and custom vanities. We also retrofitted the under-stair powder bath with an eye-catching blue tile.
